  • The band's 2002 album, A Rush Of Blood To The Head, was their first to crack the Top 10, hitting No. 5 on the Billboard 200. Coldplay scored their first Top 10 single with "Speed Of Sound" (No. 8), a track from 2005's X&Y.
  • Coldplay's debut album, Parachutes, earned the group their first career GRAMMY for Best Alternative Music Album at the 44th GRAMMY Awards in 2002. The following year, the group made their GRAMMY stage debut, performing "Politik" alongside conductor Michael Kamen and the New York Philharmonic.
  • Did you know? Coldplay performed several songs at Apple's private memorial for the late Steve Jobs at Stanford University on Oct. 19, 2011.
  • In 2003 Coldplay recorded a version of the Pretenders' "2000 Miles." All digital download proceeds were donated to the Future Forests and Stop Handgun Violence campaigns.
